Low PolyCount Games Uncovers a Piece of Gaming History...

Company: Internet Superstars
Product: The Game Conference Game

The relatively short history of video games has had its fair share of strange anecdotal stories, from E.T. for the 2600, which, according to legend, actually had more copies created than existing systems to play them on and were eventually buried in a landfill in the desert, to games that have been in development for over ten years and remain, to this day, secretive as to what, if any, progress has been made or when the game will finally be released.

GameVortex.com has come across information about a game that was created back in the infancy of video games, by a little-known game developer that went by the name of "Internet Superstars." The only game that has been revealed as having been created by Internet Superstars is a game entitled, "The Game Conference Game," which was Internet Superstar's first research grant-turned-videogame, back in 1976.

A company by the name of Low PolyCount Games is responsible for unearthing this project, decrypting it and making it available to the public as a web-based game. Although Low PolyCount Games would not comment on how it came about making the discovery or whether, they do, in fact, own the rights to Internet Superstars' intellectual properties, Joel Gonzales at Low Polycount Games expressed that he merely wanted to make this classic piece of gaming history available to the masses and, as such, is hosting the fully restored version online for gamers everywhere to experience.

There is no fee to play The Game Conference Game, but the site will feature advertisements. Joel has informed me that all proceeds from The Game Conference Game will be donated to Child's Play*, a charity for childrens' wards in hospitals.

* Please note that Low PolyCount Games and Internet Superstars are in no way affiliated or associated with Child's Play.
