Red Dead Redemption's Official Soundtrack Now Available

Company: Rockstar Games
Product: Red Dead Redemption Official Soundtrack

Rockstar's highly-anticipated Western epic Red Dead Redemption has finally reached store shelves. The official soundtrack was recently released on a number of different digital music stores, giving gamers a chance to relive their adventures with John Marston.

Red Dead Redemption's soundtrack contains the work of several acclaimed musicians. The music of the game consists largely of period pieces composed by Bill Elm and Woody Jackson, who collaborated on the soundtrack of Fast Food Nation. In addition, moviegoers who have seen Youth in Revolt are already familiar with Jackson's work.

Guitars, horns, and timpanis don't make up the entirety of Red Dead Redemption's official soundtrack. This release also includes four exclusive tracks from the likes of Ashtar Command, Jamie Lidell, William Elliot Whitmore, Chris Holmes, and Jose Gonzalez. The producer is David Holmes, who worked on Buffalo Soldiers -- as well as Ocean's 11, 12, and 13.

The official soundtrack of Red Dead Redemption is priced at $9.99, and can be found on iTunes, Zune, Amazon, eMusic, and other digital music stores.
