Kinect Gets a Fighting Game

Company: Ubisoft Entertainment
Product: Fighters Uncaged

Ubisoft announced a new Kinect exclusive title today that tries to fill an overlooked niche in the Kinect lineup; the fighting game. Fighters Uncaged is a full-body fighting game designed for the hardcore audience. The aim of the game is to immerse players in an authentic street brawl through a variety of mixed martial arts techniques by kicking, punching, and dodging their way to victory.

Fighters Uncaged will feature over 70 different attacks activated by motion controls and voice activation via Kinect and over 20 different locations to beat down your opponents. There is a "jump-in" multiplayer mode for friends to hone their skills and upgrade their martial arts arsenal.

Details are scarce at the moment. Ubisoft released a few screenshots and an accompanying video which shows some of the gameplay in action. Judging from the video, it looks like a natural evolution of games like Punch-Out or Sony's Move-enabled The Fight.

Fighers Uncaged will be released this November alongside Kinect for the Xbox 360.
