Now that the PSN servers are finally beginning to repopulate around the globe, returning balance to the Force, Sony is offering details on its "Welcome Back" apology package.

Late this afternoon Patrick Seybold, Senior Director for Corporate Communications & Social Media, posted details of the package on the Official PlayStation Blog, and it is a good deal. Once the PSN Store servers go back up (Seybold says it should be up "shortly"), PS3 owners will be able to download two free PS3 games from the PlayStation Store from the following list:

  • inFAMOUS
  • Dead Nation
  • Super Stardust HD
  • Wipeout HD + Fury

PSP owners will also be able to download two of the following PSP games for free:

  • LittleBigPlanet (PSP)
  • ModNation Racers (PSP)
  • Pursuit Force (PSP)
  • Killzone Liberation (PSP)

In addition to free games, Sony will offer a selection of other items, including:

  • A selection of free movie rentals over PSN's video service (titles announced soon)
  • 30 days free PlayStation Plus membership for non-paying PlayStation Plus members
  • 60 day free PlayStation Plus subscription for existing PlayStation Plus members
  • Additional 30 days free for premium subscription for existing Music Unlimited Premium members
  • Additional 30 days + time lost for existing members of Music Unlimited Premium/ Basic subscription free of charge for existing Premium/ Basic members
  • 100 free virtual items for PlayStation Home, including the next addition to the Home Mansion personal space and Ooblag's Alien Casino.

All content will be available once the PSN Store is restored and will be available for thirty days after that. For owners struggling with deciding which free games to snag, make sure to check out the links below for full reviews.
