Mad Catz, a third party video game accessory provider, has announced that it has signed a multi-year license agreement with the NFL to produce customized NFL team controllers for the video game industry.

Mad Catz will produce a unique, high-quality video game controller for each of the 32 NFL football teams -- stylized with the team?s colors and logos. They also feature rubber grips, a poly-carbonate finish, analog joysticks, and an action D-pad. The new NFL controllers for PlayStation 2 are scheduled to release in January 2005 through online and team stores at a suggested retail price of $29.99. NFL licensed controllers for the Xbox are scheduled to hit the market in the second quarter of 2005.

?Football is the most watched sport in America and we?ve given fans one more way to show their team pride,? commented Darren Richardson, President and CEO of Mad Catz. ?With the strength of the NFL property and the extreme popularity of football video games, we are confident this product will score with sports and video game fans alike.?
