MLG Season Kicks Off |

Major League Gaming, the official professional video game league for console game players, released photos from its season opener in Washington, D.C. The photos highlight a wide variety of game play and activities throughout the competition. The event was held from January 29-30, 2005 at the Sheraton National Hotel in Arlington, VA.

With more than 350 competitors in attendance, the team of ?Shoot to Kill? (StK) took out the competition, taking home their share of $10,000 for winning the Halo 2 main event. Other featured games included Super Smash Brothers, 3rd Strike, and Halo: Combat Evolved. The season opener also raised the stakes for players, awarding more prizes and several invites to the exclusive Eastern Conference Championship.
