Yu-Gi-Oh Champion Crowned |

Konami Digital Entertainment America, a division of Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc., today announced the winners of the Yu-Gi-Oh! U.S. Championship Finals Video Game Tournament. Fifteen of the nation's best Yu-Gi-Oh! duelists went head to head in the competition. The top five winners from the U.S. Finals won valuable prizes as well as a trip to Japan to compete against the best duelists in the world at the Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2005 Tournament in Tokyo August 5th - 7th. After hours of fierce competition, 15-year old Patrick Dicks from Warren, Ohio triumphed over the 15 other competitors as the first place winner. Patrick Dicks was awarded a copy of Yu-Gi-Oh! Online (PC), Master Collection set and a limited edition booster pack of Yu-Gi-Oh! cards from Upper Deck(tm), Yu-Gi-Oh! branded merchandise, a spot to duel in the Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2005 Tournament in Tokyo, Japan and bragging rights as the Yu-Gi-Oh! U.S. Championship Finals Video Game Champion.

The Yu-Gi-Oh! U.S. Finals second, third, fourth and fifth place winners are (in order): 13-year old Raymond Lantz III (Miami, Florida), 14-year old Matthew Mancuso (Enfield, Connecticut), 20-year old Jason Lee (Oakland, California), and 32-year old Brian Dunlap (Morrison, Colorado). Each were awarded a copy of Yu-Gi-Oh! Online (PC), a limited edition booster pack of Yu-Gi-Oh! cards from Upper Deck(tm), Yu-Gi-Oh! branded merchandise, and a spot to duel in the Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2005 Tournament in Tokyo, Japan.

The Yu-Gi-Oh! U.S. Championship Finals video game tournament took place from 11:00am - 3:00pm at Konami Digital Entertainment - America's offices in Redwood City, Calif. Fifteen finalists competed in a bracketed tournament using the Yu-Gi-Oh! 7 Trials to Glory World Championship Tournament 2005 video game for the Game Boy Advance.
