Midway Games says it has cast blockbuster Hollywood talent Michael Clarke Duncan and Rachel Griffiths to lend their voices to its highly anticipated action-horror video game, The Suffering: Ties That Bind.
Cast in the role of Blackmore, the behind-the-scenes manipulator who seems to be pulling the strings in Ties That Bind, is Michael Clarke Duncan (?The Green Mile,? ?Armageddon,? ?The Scorpion King,? and ?Sin City?). Duncan?s deep, powerful voice as Blackmore will influence and antagonize players, just as Blackmore does to the game?s main character, Torque. Rachel Griffiths (?Six Feet Under,? ?Blow?) brings her sublime voice talents to the character Jordan, the woman in charge of a strange paramilitary research outfit that has been conducting cleanup on Carnate Island, the site of the prison in The Suffering. Jordan now finds herself teamed up with Torque as they battle their way through Baltimore in The Suffering: Ties That Bind.

The Suffering: Ties That Bind is a new descent into madness that emphasizes the disturbing terror of its predecessor with all-new twisted creatures and a few familiar faces, melding big action sequences with visceral horror elements. As Torque makes his way through the gritty streets of Baltimore, the disturbing demons seem to have followed him to the mainland and are now wreaking havoc across the city. Players will explore the tough and unforgiving inner-city streets, with poverty and urban injustices rearing their ugly heads everywhere. The unique morality system returns, as players delve into the perverse world of Torque?s sanity to discover his past while struggling to control his future. The Suffering: Ties That Bind is scheduled to be available in September 2005 for PlayStation 2, Xbox, and for PC.
