Rag Doll Kung Fu Earns its Gold Belt

Company: Wild Hare
Product: Rag Doll Kung Fu

Wild Hare Entertainment today announced that “Rag Doll Kung Fu” has reached gold status and is set to ship to North American Retailers on February 12.

Originally debuting at the 2005 Game Developers Conference, “Rag Doll Kung Fu” received an enormous amount of praise for its creativity and energetic game play. “Rag Doll Kung Fu” was also bestowed the honor of being chosen as a finalist in the 2006 Develop Industry Excellence Awards for Innovation and New PC Intellectual Property.

Combine Rag Dolls, string, and Kung Fu and you get one of the wildest, weirdest, daffiest Kung Fu fighting games east of a Shaolin monastery.

“Rag Doll Kung Fu” is a very unique fighting game unlike any other with physics-based animation and collision -- no pre-set animation routines, no locked-in fighting moves. Players move their characters via analog movement with the mouse as if the fighters were puppets on strings -- moving the feet and hands independently to make the characters move and fight. By coordinating movements of limbs and the body together, players can actually string together dazzling attack moves and defensive maneuvers.

The game includes 16 levels of story mode, complete with a retro-style kung fu film. Players can also import graphics and use pre-made body parts to construct their own unique characters. A variety of single-player mini-games include Ninja Onslaught, ChuChu Wing Pooh, Rag Doll Soccer and Rag Doll Athletics.

Tired of Fighting? Grab some friends and dance, chat, or act with up to 8 other players online or through a local area network connection. Also, if you have enough USB-compatible mice and a Windows XP computer, "Rag Doll Kung Fu" allows for multiplayer games all on one machine. Players can even make their own kung fu movies by recording the action with the game’s movie maker.

“Rag Doll Kung Fu” is an original creation from Lionhead pioneer and Media Molecule co-founder Mark Healey, and is rated “M” (Mature) by the ESRB. The game is for 1-8 Players. Wild Hare has included brand new custom skins, an 11 X 14 poster, and a 28 page manual in the retail box to provide even more value to their customers at $19.99.
