Core Gamer Inc., the fastest growing manufacturer and marketer of video game accessories, has announced that it has entered into a licensing agreement with HPG, the licensing division of Hasbro, Inc., to produce specialty video game accessories based on the TRANSFORMERS brand and highly anticipated live-action TRANSFORMERS feature film due out July 4th from DreamWorks Pictures and Paramount Pictures.

Designed and developed by Core Gamer, the accessories will be developed for all major console platforms including XBOX 360, PS2, Wii and handhelds DS and PSP. Each product will depict core characters and key scenes from the TRANSFORMERS movie and iconic "G1" saga. The products will be available at all retail outlets during film launch.

"The TRANSFORMERS property is a great addition to Core Gamers' portfolio and we fully intend on delivering quality video game accessories based on this global franchise," said Janet Young, VP Sales for Core Gamer. "We believe the core elements of TRANSFORMERS are its compelling characters, embedded history and 'more than meets the eye' gadgetry that lend themselves perfectly to this extensive new line of video game accessories."

"Core Gamer's innovative design and high quality graphics provide a terrific way for fans to extend the TRANSFORMERS fantasy into their lifestyle," said Jeff Burdeen, Vice President of Digital Media for HPG. "Their line of video game accessories is the ideal compliment to Activision's TRANSFORMERS: THE GAME title and other products that celebrate the franchise."

First introduced in 1984 by Hasbro and Takara as a toy line, TRANSFORMERS continues as a global phenomenon inspiring comic books, video games, animated series, films and a conventions dedicated to TRANSFORMERS collectors. Whether fans grew up with the robots or discovered them more recently, they continue to be fascinated by the alien robots from CYBERTRON that live on earth as "ROBOTS IN DISGUISE" and have the mechanical ability to interchange from robot to vehicle and back.
