Operation: Matriarchy: Woman Inherits the Earth |

The story behind Operation: Matriarchy may sound tantalizing at first: a planet controlled by women who employ the men to serve their every need. But before you get excited, realize that these women are warped by an extraterrestrial virus that causes them to mutate into genetic/robotic/ninja freaks, and the men serve them by giving up their biomass so the insatiable matriarchs can continue to exist in their biological ?freakdom.?

This is where the protagonist comes in. The government has sent a male agent, because the virus only affects women, to cleanse the planet of the fraulein freaks and uncover the truth behind the virus. To do this, he?s armed with up to 16 weapons and various mechanized suits that allow him to traverse the wide varieties of levels and destroy the feminine threat that opposes him. He?ll need every gadget he can get; these are no normal tainted women. Some have flame throwers, some look like robotic spiders, and others are somehow adept in many forms of martial arts.

The levels are as diverse as the enemies that occupy them. Claustrophobic indoor levels will give you many paths to your goal. On the other end of the spectrum, huge outdoor levels with a fair amount of detail, even for an alpha build, let you breathe fresh air as you traipse across the countryside in search of the source of this woman-warping virus.

Operation: Matriarchy is looking mighty fine for being in alpha. The rag doll physics are already implemented, but are still being improved upon. This will also allow area targeting; hitting an enemy in the arm will be far less effective than a head shot. The graphics are also incomplete but look to be well on their way to greatness. All in all this is not a bad showing for a little known developer out of Russia. Watch for Operation: Matriarchy?s release later on in 2005.
