Corporate Pilot

Score: 70%
ESRB: Everyone
Publisher: Abacus
Developer: Abacus
Media: CD/1
Players: 1
Genre: Miscellaneous

Graphics & Sound:

The graphics for Corporate Pilot are absolutely wonderful. The detail is full and everything is fully textured. Even the addition to the instrument panels look great. The thing looks plain awesome. The use of color, the attention to detail, the smooth texturing - it's all great. This add-on helps to improve the already great graphics of MS Flight Simulator 2000. The way the game looks and sounds helps to bring the realism of the commercial flying to your desktop.

Gameplay:

If you are or want to be a corporate pilot, this add-on is for you. Other than that, I would fly clear of this one. Why? Well, all that it adds is half a dozen aircraft and an endless supply of monotonous flight agendas through horrible weather. The new planes include the Rockwell Twin Commander, Beechcraft Starship, Cessna Citation X, Dassault Falconjet 2000, BeechJet 400A, and Cessna 441 Conquest. Also included with Corporate Pilot are demo versions of Dr. Gleim's FAA Test Preparation and Comm1 Radio Simulator and Logbook Pro. Worthless. The only good thing about the add-on is the nice personal craft that you get to fly. The missions are boring and monotonous, unless you really are into the corporate piloting. Otherwise, it's just flying around corporate cargo from point A to point B in bad weather.

Difficulty:

The game itself isn't too difficult; it is involved, but not difficult. It's just certain aspects of the game that get to be challenging, like the landing and instrument only flying. Overall, though, I would say that this one is of moderate difficulty. All you have to do is follow the extensive flight manual and you should be okay.

Game Mechanics:

The game runs and plays exactly like MS Flight Simulator 2000. You have some newer gauges to look at and a few new planes to see, but nothing really changes. It still runs very fast and very smooth. But there are no real changes to the controls or interface either. If you think a few more planes and corporate missions are worth it, give Corporate Pilot a run.
